Transform.Ed Briefing #58
Inside the Briefing: Design impactful learning experiences in the age of technology while keeping them human-centric and activity-oriented!
Last week, on being asked what, in their opinion, is the most essential aspect of designing an effective learning experience, 67 percent of our respondents opted for mapping learner needs. While the rest of them believed it was adapting to technological change.
To understand it in depth, we asked a few learners about their most memorable learning experiences. Some of the responses we received included creating a real-life model for learning and development, using the Socratic method, reflecting on emotions after a brainstorming session, or simply putting into practice what they learned.
Drawing parallels to our DEED approach - Design (creating an intentional product), Explore (learning by asking questions), Experience (learning by doing and reflecting), and Discover (putting into practice with minimal guidance), we realized these four pillars could be the guiding principles in facilitating impactful learning.
However, while implementing the DEED plan, what do you think could be the challenges you may encounter? Have you ever inadvertently put into practice any of these elements of the DEED approach?
