The policy brief provides insight on understanding and developing the indicators to promote the internationalization of higher education. Specifically, this brief focuses on student mobility which indicates that studying abroad can lead to exchange of ideas and cross-cultural understanding and tolerance among individuals across regional differences. Through this policy brief, the development of a holistic set of indicators for internationalization of higher education allows for better tracking of trends and patterns in higher education, monitoring the effectiveness of policies, and incorporating reflective practice on an ongoing basis.
