Transform.Ed Briefing #63
Inside the Briefing: From unmasking to dismantling racism - towards appreciating differences and acknowledging our uniqueness.

Despite the 75 years since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights came into existence, our societies continue to grapple with rising hatred, discrimination, xenophobia, and racism.
Education can have a positive influence, yet it comes with its own set of hurdles. Last week we asked our readers about the major challenge they encounter when teaching anti-racism education in classrooms. Surprisingly, we received a unanimous response where our respondents identified navigating sensitive topics as the major challenge.
How do we, as educators, address these challenges? What are the steps that we can take to teach our learners about living together while appreciating and accepting our differences?
