Transform.Ed Briefing #49
Inside the Briefing: A look at aesthetic education as a tool for transforming education!
As stated by Edward de Bono, “There is no doubt that creativity is the most important human resource of all. Without creativity, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.”
Investing in aesthetic education not only nurtures students' emotional intelligence and cultivates a sense of aesthetics but also enhances their critical thinking and analytical skills.
In our poll last week, we inquired about the role of aesthetic education in fostering inclusivity within the learning environment. Surprisingly, all our respondents opted for the embracing of diverse perspectives.
We are curious to know, as educators, in what ways can embracing diverse perspectives through aesthetic education enhance the overall classroom experience? Are there specific examples or practices you believe could help promote inclusivity through aesthetic education?
