Policy Brief » Serious Games and Gamification
By NDPC
The policy brief offers recommendations to implement serious games (SG) and gamification in the education sector. The understanding of games and gaming is not merely limited to entertainment games. Debunking the assumptions of gaming is a critical aspect to ensure that more support is given to projects that use SG and gamification to address curriculum demands and identified learning outcomes. These recommendations can serve as an example for other regions which emphasize the need to support the development of imaginative thinking and the appropriate use of video games in the classroom by teachers to complement other learning strategies that can improve behavior.
